Significantly Decrease the Bioanalytical Impact of Analyte Degradation in Thawed Biological Samples

Degradation of molecules in thawed biological samples is one of the biggest challenges for all bioanalytical laboratories. During the January SLAS conference in San Diego, CA, CryoXtract was nominated for an innovation award based on a study of the use of frozen aliquotting for the bioanalysis of labile compounds (found here). During a podium presentation, authors Glenn Smith and Joe Fraone outlined the results of the collaborative study with GlaxoSmithKline.

Recently Published Independent Evaluation of the CXT350 Highlights its Ability to Maintain Sample Quality

In a research article published in the January issue of BioPreservation and Biobanking, researchers investigated the ability of CryoXtract’s CXT 350 Frozen Sample Aliquotter to take multiple targeted cores from a single tissue or fecal biospecimen without thawing. Frozen aliquotting preserved both the highly valuable parent sample and the frozen aliquots. Once integrated into a laboratory workflow, the authors state that the CXT 350 can positively impact and maintain biospecimen quality for research.

CryoXtract Instruments, LLC will be offering a podium presentation and exhibiting at the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) annual conference from January 24th-27th in San Diego. CryoXtract is also pleased to announce that their abstract was one of only 9 finalists selected for the SLAS Innovation Award. The $10,000 award is bestowed upon the podium presentation that is "exceedingly innovative and contributes to the exploration of technologies in the laboratory, exceeds a benchmark or milestone in screening or the lead discovery process, or demonstrates an advanced and integrated use of mature technologies."
